Bookings To take part in a She Walks Walk, you need to book via Eventbrite except members who can email hello@shewalks.co.nz direct to book their 8 walks per year. On Eventbrite You’ll need to complete required fields for personal information including any medical information and dietary requirements and agree to the booking terms and conditions.
Membership Terms Your membership grants you access to our walks based on the terms outlined in this Agreement, our Rules, and any additional rules or policies related to your membership. We reserve the right to modify walk times, services, rules, and policies. Any changes will be communicated to you in a timely manner. Personalised Membership and Transfers: Your membership is exclusive to you. Sharing or permitting others to use your membership is not allowed. Transfers are not permissible without our written consent, and a transfer fee may be applicable. We reserve the right to review and approve your membership for compliance with our policies. Memberships are automatically renewed unless canceled by emailing hello@shewalks.co.nz. No refunds are provided for paid fees. We reserve the right to cancel your membership immediately for breaches of fundamental terms.
Cancellation Policy Members can modify or cancel your walk bookings up to 48 hours before the walk starts, retaining any walk credits. Cancellations on the morning of a walk will mean you loose your walk credit. Non-members can request a refund up to 48 hours before a walk, we will refund you except any booking fees incurred by Eventbrite.
Fees We maintain the right to adjust fees at any time, with a minimum notice period of one calendar month. Notification of fee changes will be sent to your nominated email address.
Liability and Damage You are liable for intentional, dangerous, reckless, or negligent acts resulting in damage to our equipment. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of our services, except as provided by applicable laws. Your personal property, and its security is your sole responsibility and you acknowledge that we are not responsible for any loss or damage of your personal property.
Prices All prices advertised are in New Zealand dollars (NZD) and will display GST on checkout (where applicable), unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to alter prices and other particulars contained on eventbrite, our website and instagram.
Walking Ability The minimum age is 18 years, we have no upper age limit although we remind you that our walks can be physically demanding and you must ensure your fitness is suitable to allow full participation. Please be mindful and aware of your own abilities.
Risk You acknowledge the nature of these walks and participation involves a degree of personal risk. You will be visiting places where, natural, cultural and geographical attributes present dangers and physical challenges. It is also your own responsibility to stay up to date with travel information sent from us regarding the walks. You acknowledge that your decision to travel is made in light of consideration of this information and you accept that you are aware of the personal risks attendant upon such travel. When you book on, you agree you understand your walk may operate in unpredictable outdoor environments. As a participant, you agree to accept the inherent risks and dangers associated with any activity in which you participate and the accompanying of injury, death or property loss or damage. You must at all times, notify your guide if you feel unwell or are injured so we can take appropriate action to care for you.
Health and Medical Conditions You must inform us at the time of booking of any medical condition or disability that may affect your walk, as well as any special arrangements you require such as food allergen requirements. Whilst we will use reasonable efforts to accommodate your particular needs, we reserve the right to decline your booking.
Authority Walks are run by our team of guides. The decision of the guide/s is final on all matters likely to affect the safety or well-being of any client participating. If you fail to comply with a decision made by your guide, or interfere with the well-being or mobility of the group, the guide may direct you to leave the trip immediately, with no right of refund. We may also elect not to carry you on any future walk/s booked.
Privacy Any personal information that we collect about you may be used for any purpose associated with the operation of the walks or to send you marketing material in relation to our events and special offers. We will otherwise treat your details confidentially.
Feedback If you have a complaint about your walk please inform your guide at the time in order that they can attempt to rectify the matter. If satisfaction is not reached through these means then any further complaint should be put in writing to us within 7 days of the end of the walk to hello@shewalks.co.nz
General If any provision of these Terms or its application to any party or circumstance is or becomes invalid or unenforceable to any extent, the remainder of these Terms and its application will not be affected and will remain enforceable to the greatest extent permitted by law. These Terms, and all your contracts with us are governed by New Zealand law and the New Zealand Courts will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute in relation to your bookings or these Terms. We reserve the right, at our discretion, to update or revise these Terms at any time. Changes to these Terms will be emailed out directly to you should they change from the commencement of your booking. You acknowledge that you have read and understood these booking terms and conditions.
Agreement Acceptance By accessing our walks and completing any consent forms you acknowledge and accept this Agreement and our Rules. You agree not to commence legal proceedings without following the dispute resolution process.
Entire Agreement and Definitions This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between parties, governed by New Zealand laws.
